The best laid plans of mice and me....a confession

I am 36 years old and I stopped making lists about 5 years ago. I made a promise to myself when I moved away from Harrisburg and into my own house, left my crazy life behind, that I would stop making plans and then forgetting them for other plans.
I remember once, being a young woman, and making lists, until one day, I woke up and realized that my life has fallen down around my ears and my lists were only a reminder of what I hadn't accomplished. I spent 6 years trying to help someone else along with their list. I forgot about my own.
Now, with God's grace, some of those things on my list, have fallen into place. Maybe not the way I planned or what I planned, but they are here...a wedding, a husband, a baby.
And, I have been blessed by losing my job....and starting my own business. It may not be 6 figures a year or train trips to NYC, but it's mine all the same. I may have built the house of my dreams and had to sell it to make room for my new life. But I built that house and someday I will build a new one that isnt even close to being the same dream house, maybe, someday.
I need a new list. My friend Jason and I made a list of 100 things to do in one year, so many years ago, and we looked at it everyday. I got alot of my dreams done in one year.
When I had that list in my hand, I felt secure. I felt accomplished, check something off, done!
I felt like I had accountability. I felt like I had a roadmap. I felt like I had dreams ahead of me. I want to see dreams ahead of me, I want to grab hold of them.
So here goes, nothing like accountability on the world wide web. What i will do in 2012:
