Follow up to Ultrasound OBGYN Visit

Today I had my follow up appointment to our ultrasound from two weeks ago. Since I did not receive a phone call before my appt, I assumed that there was nothing worrisome to report.
The baby is healthy. I have the right amount of amniotic fluid for the baby to float in. I have a solid cervix and a healthy placenta that is not low lying. The baby is measuring well.
As for me, I have a pelvis that tips slightly forward, which I have researched and have now learned is a common reason for degenerative disc disease, which I was diagnosed with 3 years ago....go figure. The midwife did say that this would have made it slightly harder for me to get pregnant! Surprise...it happened!
The ultrasound showed a small clot behind the placenta which formed as the baby implanted into my uterus. This is the suggested reason for my bleeding. 25% of women will bleed due to this condition called Subchroniac Hematoma. It is not normal, but not unusual. The clot will either expel from my body, causing another bleed, or will be absorbed by my body. The good news is that the clot is small.
The sonographer also saw that I have tiny fibroids inside my uterus. Nothing to worry about because they are small. This is a hereditary condition. My mom had fibroids.
We are going to pray that both the fibroids and clot do not grow so that every bit of room is left for the baby to grow and move freely.
I released the egg from my left ovary, as that is where the birth cyst has grown( yeah...did you know that is what happens to tell where the egg came from?) We also know that because the sonographer cannot find my right ovary. We are not sure where it is hiding.
Overall, I am becoming increasingly more aware of the fact that this little baby is a miracle and I have 23 weeks until I meet him or her.
